So, you think that buck you shot in Kansas last season is worth bragging about? Here’s your chance to prove it.

The Kansas Monster Buck Classic will feature certified judges to score racks that are brought in, and the top bucks will be entered in a contest that pays the winners cash and prizes.

The event, which celebrates Kansas deer hunting, will be Friday through Sunday at the Kansas ExpoCentre in Topeka.

This is a deer hunter’s dream world. Everywhere you look, there will be deer mounts, hunters telling stories about the monsters they saw on their trail cams, and vendors touting everything from dream hunts to deer scent to seed for food plots.

Well-known hosts of hunting television shows Melissa Bachman, Shawn Luchtel, Art Helin and Eddie Claypool will give seminars, and archers will test their aim in a special tournament. The Monster Buck Classic will include a kids zone and a rattlesnake show.

Show hours will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets will cost $15 for all three days or $10 for a single day.
